Out of the way of the bustling streets and waterfronts of Vancouver's northern community, Deep Cove is nestled away to the east. This small town on the border of a nearby bay hosts a charming community of residential areas, shops, restaurants and of course, activities out on the water. Many visitors to Deep Cove come to take part in kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing or swimming in its beautiful waters. If waterborne activities are not your desire, the forests that line either side of the cove house many trails to pass the time and stretch your legs while being immersed in nature. One of the most popular trails is the Quarry Rock hike, which ends on an outcropping of rock overlooking the entirety of the cove in all its majesty. With clear blue water bracketed by towering mountains of green and stony grey, it is a beautiful place to spend a day or two away from the busy activity of everyday life.
The Kayaking staff have never failed to ensure that our students and leaders are nothing short of prepared and comfortable with their journey. Whether it is your first time kayaking or you're a seasoned paddler, everything will explained in detail and all questions will be answered before getting in the water. The paddling session also doubles as a tour, in which a kayaking instructor will be in the water with you, ensuring everyone's safety and offering some education on Canada's northern oasis.
