A five minute's walk away from the CES Vancouver Campus, Canada Place is an important landmark for CES students. Located in Coal Harbour, Canada Place is an important hub of business and culture, with many events and conferences held at both the main building and attached convention centre. This will be the starting point for the Whistler excursion. Be sure to look for the large glass dome at the front of the building to meet your transportation nearby.

Tucked away along the Sea to Sky Highway, Shannon Falls is a beautiful spot to experience a breath of fresh air during the commute up to Whistler Mountain. The peaceful forest is full of winding trails to stretch your legs, as well as a towering waterfall that flows into a nearby stream. There are multiple photo spots to take in the surrounding scenery and make some memories before returning to the drive up the mountain.

The charming streets, shops, cafes and restaurants will greet you as you enter the winding paths of Whistler Village. Home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, Whistler is a place favoured by many for its skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports. However, even when the snow has vanished, there is still so much to explore! The village is home to a variety of unique shops with many places to eat and souvenirs to buy, while the winding stone paths or the hiking trails nearby are excellent places to sightsee. If the weather is cold enough, there is a chance to catch their temporary ice rink!

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is one of the most popular places amongst those travelling to Whistler. This lift connects the Whistler and Blackcomb mountain peaks and is one of the highest gondolas in the world. The journey has a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains at almost 450 meters above the valley floor, providing a beautiful backdrop for the journey to the peak. Once you've arrived at the top, there are many trails to explore and incredible photos to take of the vast, sweeping landscape of the north of British Columbia.

Located in the Whistler Village, this cultural centre is a must-see monument of the rich culture of British Columbia's First Nation communities. Here you may see incredible works of art, finely crafted tools and wood carvings, hear traditional songs or stories and learn the deep history of the Squamish and Lil'wat peoples. See the incredible Great Hall within or join a forest tour, guided by First Nations ambassadors, that provide fascinating insight on Canada's land and its importance to their tradition and history.

The entrance to this plaza is very easy to spot due to the large statue of metal rings, signifying Vancouver's great pride at being chosen for the 2010 Olympic Games. This outdoor community space houses music performances, temporary sporting activities and is the former location of many medal ceremonies during the winter games over 15 years ago. It is the perfect place to rest within the village, with different activities throughout the year.
