Nestled in the greater city of Richmond, Steveston is a charming community and a hidden gem of British Columbia. Founded in the 1880s, Steveston is an important historical landmark full of history, quaint shops and beautiful ocean views. The path of Fisher's Walk shows the many fishing boats parked along the coastline docks and at either end is the Steveston Cannery or the Britannia Shipyard, both historic sites with a wealth of information to explore. The main walk of shops have plenty of food and souvenirs to indulge in, with something for everyone whether the weather is sunny and bright or cloudy and chilly. Amongst the main streets, you will find the Steveston Tram hidden away, a real vintage train car that you can walk inside! You may even recognize some parts of town, as Steveston has been used as a filming location for several popular Canadian and American television shows.
