Centre of English Studies Vancouver hosts students from many different countries each month. Students are of different nationalities, ages and backgrounds. This means that you will have a chance to meet and talk with many different kinds of people on a variety of different topics, which is great practice for the real world!
Who Will Teach You?
Who Will Teach You?
The teachers at CES Vancouver are fully qualified according to Languages Canada and IALC standards. They will explain structure and functions of the English language, and will also set up a variety of tasks where you will communicate with other students. You will work individually, in pairs, in groups and as a class to get great multicultural practice with your classmates and to be able to understand different accents.
Weekly Tests
Weekly Tests
To help you see your progress, you will be tested every week in your level. The level test will consist of a written test as well as an oral evaluation. Level tests will take place on Fridays. Level changes will take effect from Monday of the following week.
*Students are able to see the marked test on Mondays

You will receive your class information on your first day either on a sheet of paper, or as directed by CES Staff members. Classes and classrooms rotate every Monday, so be sure to check the class list at the front desk at the start of every week to ensure you find the right place!
